Five SBC Executives to Deliver Speeches
at the OSP EXPO Industry Trade Show

2005 OSP EXPO to Be Held at the Fort Worth Convention Center,
Fort Worth, Texas, Nov. 16 – 17

SAN ANTONIO — Sept. 7, 2005 — SBC Communications Inc. (NYSE: SBC) and OSP magazine today announced that SBC executives plan to deliver the keynote addresses at this year’s OSP (Outside Plant) EXPO. 

SBC speakers will address the company’s network evolution and Project Lightspeed — its IP-based voice, video, and data initiative — at OSP EXPO 2005, an annual telecommunications industry conference focusing on outside plant telephony infrastructure solutions. The conference, sponsored by OSP magazine, will be held Nov. 16 – 17 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ernie Carey, vice president-network, SBC IP Operations & Services Inc., will deliver the OSP EXPO opening keynote address on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

In addition, four other SBC network executives will appear on a panel on Thursday, Nov. 17. The panel speakers include:

• Byron McDaniel, vice president-SBC West Construction & Engineering
