The OSP is increasingly becoming a pipe for Ethernet and IP services. This 45 minute webinar will introduce OSP technicians to 3 topics of growing importance:

1. Testing Ethernet Performance at the consumer or business premise.
2. Simple tests to troubleshooting common Ethernet problems on the customer side of the OSP to reduce repeat calls.
3. Testing services like internet, VoIP and IPTV. What are the key measurements that qualify quality of experience for the customer?

A live question and answer session will be offered by the network test experts at the end of the session.

The intent is to provide OSP technicians with knowledge of Ethernet testing to allow them to test more than just the physical link and validate service level agreements.

Peter Schweiger has been in the test and measurement world for over 20 years and working with Optics for 17. He joined Hewlett Packard in Toronto, Canada in 1987. Initially working with accounts like Motorola Communications, Ford Electronics and Alcatel Fiber Optics, he moved to Germany to at HP’s Boeblingen Instrument Division responsible for telecommunication accounts like BT, France and Deutsche Telecom. Peter returned to Canada in 2000 as a global partner manager and currently has responsibility for Agilent Technologies Handheld Ethernet and Optical test solutions for the Americas.
