The best insights occur on the frontlines -- where the action is happening. Clearfield Inc. has brought together a User Group Think Tank of telecommunications experts who have experienced the ups, the downs and the intricacies of broadband and fiber deployment. Join them for a revealing discussion of real world challenges and solutions. Participate in an open dialogue with other service providers across the country -- Unlike events you’ve attended where pre-determined conclusions are presented as the de-facto standard, attendees will participate in a free exchange of logical, cost-effective solutions, practices and methodologies for the deployment of FTTp broadband networks.
Part 1: Kicking off the event will be service provider executives who are pioneers in the FTTP marketplace
Engineers from Cincinnati Bell, Integra Telecom and Paul Bunyan Telephone will jump-start the discussion with their own field-proven experiences in each leg of the network: Inside Plant, Outside Plant and Access Network.
Part 2: Make your voices heard regarding real-world issues, concerns and questions
Provide design input and feedback on what’s needed to make cost-effective fiber deployment a reality in your network. This round-table dialogue will be facilitated by application engineers, design engineers, and business leaders, and will culminate with the launch of an online “Birds of a Feather Fiber Forum” to continue the dialogue long after OSP EXPO.
Part 3: Reducing the OP/EX and CAP/EX of Fiber Deployment
David Cousins, President of Beta Partners and former AT&T executive, will provide the first glimpse on a research study that combines the field proven experience of more than 30 independent telephone companies. Participants will receive the first copies for their personal use.
To ensure an intimate setting where all voices are heard, participation will be exclusive to service providers and will be limited to the first 50 registering companies.
About the Summit Sponsor: Clearfield
Long before the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act brought focus to rural broadband networks, Clearfield has specialized in addressing the unique fiber management requirements of un-served and underserved communities. More than 150 independent telephone service providers and cable television operators across North America have standardized on Clearfield’s Clearview Cassette for their fiber management needs. The Clearview Cassette is the primary Building Block of the FieldSmart Fiber Management architecture. FieldSmart is the only architecture in the industry that scales from 12 to 864 ports across the inside plant, outside plant and access networks. Clearfield provides the service provider with the proven means by which to align their investment in capital equipment alongside subscriber turn-up revenue.
