Opening Keynote Presentation



Claire Beth Nogay, SVP & Chief Network Officer, Verizon Telecom

Claire Beth Nogay is Chief Network Officer for Verizon Telecom, responsible for managing Telecom’s multi-billion Network Capital Program, including the design, build and implementation of the FTTP Data and Video networks.

Prior to her current assignment, Nogay was senior vice president – Complex Services Delivery for Verizon Partner Solutions, and was responsible for all operations associated with special services. This includes carrier access ordering as well as wholesale and retail installation and maintenance functions encompassing both center and field operations. Previously, she served as vice president - Competitive Local Exchange Carrier Operations, responsible for all CLEC installation and maintenance in the former Bell Atlantic territories. She also served as an expert witness for Verizon in proceedings on long-distance approvals in states in the former Bell Atlantic.

Nogay started her career as an outside plant engineer in NJ, and held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in all aspect of network operations including installation, maintenance, engineering, construction, and mechanized assignment in both line and staff organizations.

In 1996, Nogay was selected for the Bell Atlantic Advanced Leadership Development Program and has completed Executive Programs at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the Center for Creative Leadership. She currently serves on the board of the Caldwell Public Library and on a Corporate Advisory Board at Stevens Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Nogay received her degree in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and entered the field of power plant construction with Burns and Roe in Oradell, NJ before joining New Jersey Bell in 1980.

David is responsible for directing iSuppli’s Multimedia, Content, and Broadband Infrastructure products and consulting. His background encompasses more than 20 years of executive-level private and public industry, marketing consulting and market research experience in a number of high technology businesses ranging from semiconductors to multimedia services. Additionally, he has extensive experience in product positioning, marketing strategy and tactics, primary market research, product marketing, product development, and competitive analysis.

Most recently, David was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for American Technology Corporation, a leader in highly directed audio solutions for digital signage applications. He has served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Path 1 Network Technologies, a pioneer in the delivery of broadcast-quality HD video over IP networks in the satellite, cable, telco and mobile industries; Senior Vice President of Marketing at Mitsubishi Electronics for their multimedia display products; launched a $500 million two-way voice and data network as Vice President of Marketing at PageNet, Director of Marketing at Compaq’s telecommunications division. He also was a Group Vice President at Gartner and Manager of Strategic Marketing at NEC Electronics.

David received an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
