The Clearview Cassette
Fiber management is meant to consolidate, protect and distribute incoming and outgoing fiber circuits in a service provider’s passive network architecture. Traditionally, fiber management has been designed “from the outside in.” All hardware that provides the necessary protection was designed into the box – thereby limiting scalability.
At Clearfield, we believe fiber management needs to be different. To save costs and reduce deployment time, fiber management shouldn’t be a fixed, up-front expense. Instead, it should be able to grow in-step with your subscriber take rates and revenue. To accomplish this objective, fiber management should be designed from the “inside out.”
The result is the Clearview Cassette.
Clearfield sought to ensure the same device could be used as a building block throughout the network—from the inside plant to the outside plant, customer premises, and all the way home. Deployment schedules become quicker required inventories are reduced and technical training is virtually eliminated. Clearfield removes costs and improves your bottom line.
The Clearview Cassette is a system of five parts that nest together in the cassette’s main housing to support a wide range of applications. A sixth component has been added as an option, the Expansion Ring, which allows. With the addition of the Expansion Ring, the cassette doubles in height and provides slack storage within the cassette. Parts can be added or removed as needed to support the environment in which it’s deployed.
From the inside plant through the harsh outside plant environment to the commercial site, MDU or the customer home, the Clearview Cassette is the foundation upon which the FieldSmart Platform of Fiber Management is designed. Clearfield is the only company that can meet the needs of every leg of your network with a single building-block architecture.
